DeAndre Jordan and the Los Angeles Clippers have held several discussions on a contract extension.

While the two sides have discussed an extension, no contract figures have been broached.

“We’ve had discussions, but obviously nothing has gotten done,” Jordan said. “So, we’ll see what happens.”

Jordan has a player option for the 2018-19 season that will pay him $24.1 million. Jordan could re-sign with the Clippers in the summer for as much as $207 million over five years.

Jordan doesn’t have an agent, so he has been negotiating with the Clippers on his own.

He can sign a supermax like Russ and Curry that 207M is in addition to his contract option for next year. Do it DJ get paid while the Clippers are a mess especially after the Dallas debacle they coerced you into.

I'm not sure but I think Deandre can out do Russ to sign the largest contract in nba history if he adds a 5 year 207M extension to his existing 2 years left on his contract including an option for 18-19.

i dunno if he's smarter than an agent, but he's richer than another player with an identical contract ... different strokes
