Nic Batum Likely Out For Season Tearing UCL

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Oct 5, 2017 7:54 pm

Nic Batum tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow during Wednesday's preseason game.

Batum will likely miss the entire 17-18 season.

The injury is common amongst pitchers in baseball and requires Tommy John surgery.

Terrible news. Extremely valuable when healthy

UPDATE

Batum's injury status/prognosis has been upgraded. Out 8-12 weeks. Tommy John surgery not needed.

Horrible news. Batum is a nice 2 way player and provides them with a nice perimeter defender. Looks like MKG - is going to get an opportunity to step up. They will miss Batums offense as MKG is defensive first player with a lack of jump shooting.

Dang, so many injuries hitting them. Good that Monk is fine.

Sucks for them, but luckily they are in the Least. If it's 8-12 weeks, he can be back by Christmas, and in the East they should still be well in the playoff hunt.

Batum is a good player, damn.

I'd like to see the Hornets make the playoffs and for Lee Jenkins to write another story on Dwight claiming redemption.

Its fantastic news now Dwight Howard can be a 20-10 beast in the East again - claim those touches boy. Superman in the house Air Jordan built - you can't write headlines like that.
