Jeremy Lin will be out for the entire 17-18 season with a ruptured patella tendon.

I doubt he'll do it, but, Lin should probably retire at the end of his contract. His body isn't able to withstand it.

Maybe when his leg falls off - nobody Retires at 30 when there are tens of millions of dollars left to earn and teams always in need of quality floor leadership? ummmmmmmm are you serious? of course he's NOT going to do it.

I dont see how anyone will pay JL a hefty multi yr deal at his age after a major knee injury. He's an uptempo player; the knee injury is a widowmaker for guys who play at his pace, feel bad for the kid. Maybe he'll comeback for love of the game and hustle every year for Vet Min deals.

this NBA season is off to a terrible start. seems like there's a lot of bad mojo going around. freak season ending injuries in the first game of the season. the Celtics already out of ECF contention and the Nets out of 8th seed playoff contention just like that. sucks for the affected players and nba fans

Unfortunately, this is probbaly the end of his career. He has one more season remaining in his Nets contract, but I doubt he plays in the NBA after that. Shame his run was cut short. He's an exciting player.
