Derrick Rose Out 2-3 Weeks With Sprained Left Ankle

Derrick Rose remains Out with a sprained left ankle.

Rose received additional imaging and evaluation at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health by Cavaliers team physician Dr. James Rosneck and Dr. Brian Donley.

Due to continued symptoms, the ankle will be immobilized in a boot for the next week and he will also undergo an extended treatment process over the next two to three weeks.

Rose's status will be updated as appropriate.

Sometimes I wonder if he signed with Nike over Adidas if a lot of this woulda never happened. They always made his shoes super light and shifted ankle support up too high, to the point where it likely shifted impact higher up the leg

So there is nothing structurally wrong with the ankle, but Rose refuses to play through any pain whatsoever, so he will sit until he feels the "symptoms" have subsided. This is the Derrick Rose we all know. This guy will sit for three weeks for a hangnail. Remember, he is saving his body for retirement so he can play with his kids...

Lebron must be so thrilled. :lol:

I don't even know how he injured it. Such a shame we wanted him to find his groove before IT came back.

its obvious to me Derrick Rose's injuries are more than just baskeball related. something is fundamentally wrong w/ his health. he recovers incredibly slowly and gets hurt constantly. health-wise something is amiss so I definitely hope he will get the guidance he needs to restore balance to his body before its too late for him
