Kawhi Leonard Nearing Return From Quad Injury

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Dec 1, 2017 9:03 pm

Kawhi Leonard is close to returning to making his season debut following a months-long rehab from a quadriceps injury.

Leonard has played two sessions of 5-on-5, going both halfcourt and full.

Leonard practiced with the Spurs for the first time on Friday.

"Those are the last steps," Gregg Popovich said. "That's what Tony (Parker) did before he came back."

Leonard could be back in approximately two weeks.

"He's starting to feel in a little bit better shape and feeling more confident," Popovich said.

It's good he's recovering, truly one of the best 2 ways players in the L.

Thanks for the honesty.

It will be interesting to see if Pop brings him off the bench for a while like he did with TD some years ago. Between Forbes and Brandon Paul there are 25 bench minutes he can soak up next to Gay, which would be a comically effective bench duo for as long as they want to use it.
