Raptors, Wizards, Wolves, Bucks Interested In Trading For DeAndre Jordan

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Dec 1, 2017 11:05 pm

The Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, Minnesota Timberwolves and Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly shown the most interest in trading for DeAndre Jordan.

The Clippers have interest in John Henson, Malcolm Brogdon and Khris Middleton in their trade talks with the Bucks. The Clippers want at least two of those three Bucks in any trade for Jordan.

Jordan will be a free agent in the offseason and is currently operating without an agent. The Clippers are widely expected to fall out of playoff contention following the injury to Blake Griffin.

For cap purposes it makes perfect sense. DeAndre gives the Raptors a stronger defensive presence for this season...and he comes off the books in the summer...saving 20 million in cap space...and gets the team further below the luxury tax threshold.

should have moved him in the offseason. what made them think they would be better without CP3? A playoff team at best.

It would be a shame if the Bucks are throwing in Middleton to get DAJ for Henson. Henson should be the younger version of DAJ, who is already in decline, if he works harder.

He's at 60.4% FT so far this season, so maybe not so much of an issue anymore if he sustains it, which is always the question.

Why is that so preposterous ? Clippers are locked into Blake and Gallinari for the next few years...and Jonas can play with them...is locked in for another few years and makes less than DeAndre makes now and is looking to make as a free agent. Don't let Dwane Casey's mishandling of JV's minutes and role fool you. He is still a solid 15 and 10 when he gets the playing time and unlike DeAndre, he can shoot a free throw at a good clip.

Jerry West wants OUT from under these longterm deals. DJ has high trade value now; shop him, bc Blakes value is way down (blake will be offseason S&T bait).
Rivers in jeapordy.
Payroll Flex, Great Ownership/Front Office, Destination City: clips will be a draw his offseason for a certain someone to recruit other someones to come along with.

They didn't think they would be better off without CP3. I don't anyone inside basketball thought that.

His eyes are too close together; he has no depth perception! No way this holds true for the remainder of the season and beyond.

Seriously though, he's only averaging 2.6 attempts per game. Teams have no reason to hack him right now because they stink... and when he does go the the line there is no pressure, because they stink. He no longer has wins and losses hanging on his makes and misses. Anyone can shoot when it doesn't count.

Yea, has nothing to do with pressure, he was making them when the Clippers started the season winning, and no, players still suck at shooting "when it doesn't count" if they are bad shooters. The question is whether he can sustain it, or if it is just a hot streak. He shot 55% for the first 30 games last season with the "pressure" of a winning team, but look how that ended.

Because the Clippers would be much better off by letting Jordan expire than taking on JV's albatross contract for two meh prospects.
