Luc Mbah a Moute suffered a dislocated left shoulder during the Rockets' win on Wednesday over Charlotte.
An MRI revealed no significant issues and Mbah a Moute could return within two to three weeks.
The Rockets will likely reduce their rotation from nine to eight players with Mbah a Moute out.
