Pistons, Jazz, Blazers Interested In Nikola Mirotic

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jan 9, 2018 6:32 pm

The Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers have interest in Nikola Mirotic.

Mirotic continues to prefer a trade from the Chicago Bulls due to his preseason fight with Bobby Portis.

The Bulls are seeking a first round pick for Mirotic.

What a misleading click bait title. Here's KC's tweet. Note that it says could join, not have joined.

Can confirm Pistons have shown preliminary interest in Mirotic, per source. @TheSteinLine 1st. Also told Portland could join mix with Jazz and Pistons. Bulls motivated to get 1st round pick for Niko.

nothing to hamstrung but Bulls would need to eat a contract back. For example: DET Leuer, UTA Burks, POR Leonard.

Lol, well, if they actually had assets and he wasn't untradable, the Rockets might benefit from swapping Ryan Anderson for him.

Mirotic has a nice contract though

They don't have GS 1st rounder. They have OKC's but that is probably gonna go to Minny for Rubio. Right now the only #1 they have is their own.

Mitrotic for Qi, Anderson, and first rounder

Anderson could mention Lauri helping his potential, whilst also allowing then to tank because he needs his shot created.
He could be a solid vet that will age decently with the game.
But rockets over the cap, so unless they are looking at a big free agent they will probably kepp anderson to keep his specific skills.
After your first, you change, you mature, you dont just jump into things.

Lauri is already a better player than Ryan Anderson. The kid is a future star. He's a complete player on offense and shows a lot of promise on defense.

The Bulls have 3 PFs who are better than Anderson... and two of them (Portis and Lauri) are 22 or younger. The third is Mirotic. I see absolutely no reason why the Bulls would pay almost 20 million a year so Anderson can take away minutes from younger, more talented players when they're trying to rebuild.

This is spot on. I have seen this supposed Anderson for Mirotic suggestion at least 3 times now from hopeful Rockets fans. It's not happening. Anderson is pure garbage and especially bad given his contract.

A Mirotic trade is the correct move. I would like a 1st round pick in 2018.

Mirotic Trade?

Sorry, I meant he isnt worth a 1st round top 5 pick in my opinion. Maybe a top 10.
Hes great at what he does best, but with subpar defense/rebounding. I rather take a prime Ryan Anderson type

Wow, the guy has awaken, the punch did him much good!

The Bulls don't need him as they've got Lauri, they could get something good.

Blazers doesn't make much sense unless they get rid of Leonard

Jazz, not quite, they've got Ingles

Pistons would be best, since Stanley Johnson isn't panning out.
