The Toronto Raptors have emerged as a team interested in trading for DeAndre Jordan.
Jordan can become a free agent this offseason.
Any trade presumably would include Jonas Valanciunas.
The Cavaliers have also been interested in trading for Jordan.

True, but he doesn't exactly pose a threat on the defensive end. I rather invest in Jakob, he has time to develop a 3 pointer and is a way better shot blocker than Jonas. However, I don't believe Jordan is a good fit for this team.

I personally think Jv has more upside than Jakob. Jv also improved on the defensive end, forgive me 4 not believjng in Jakob just yet.

Bad trade for Toronto. DJ can't shoot free throws. JV is a solid rebounder, elite finisher and has a soft touch. DJ is a beastly rebounder which may help Toronto but outside of that it doesn't help them against GSW, CLE or WASH

I feel like Masi is throwing his hat in the ring to drive up the price on the Cavs.

JV is an elite post up player, not an elite finisher. He also has terrible hands. And considering how little Toronto feeds him in the post, his talent goes to waste here. DJ is a way better defender and is a better fit for our offense. I've been saying Raptors need to make this trade for a few weeks now

With all due respect, DJ is a great rim protector. He is piss-poor at post defense, and containing in space. Also JV is being utilized in more pick and roll action this season, and Zach Lowe has described JV as an elite finisher in that regard.
All that said, I hope we don't take on DJ. Raps already have a center on the roster who can protect the rim and shoot 50% from the charity stripe.
