Rockets Waive Troy Williams

The Houston Rockets will waive Troy Williams to create a roster spot for Joe Johnson.

Williams is in his second NBA season but has only appeared in four games in 17-18. Williams is averaging 19.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in the G League. 

Williams went undrafted in 2016 out of Indiana.

Wright is already signed
waive Black make the most sense because he only signed one year of contract
Onuaku and Williams have partial-guaranteed money next season that will count against the cap
It may be easier to trade Williams in off season
rumor Morey had a deal to trade Williams and Black for Wright but 3rd team pull out to take Williams
