Kostas Antetokounmpo To Declare For 2018 NBA Draft

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Mar 22, 2018 8:37 pm

Kostas Antetokounmpo will declare for the 2018 NBA Draft, though he won't hire an agent at this time.

Antetokounmpo is a redshirt freshman at Dayton as he was forced to sit out last season as a nonqualifier.

Antetokounmpo is the younger brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Thanasis Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo played just 15 minutes per game this season.

Is he gonna be like Marc Gasol to Pau Gasol?

LoL no. He has all the physical gifts but plays way too timid. Really wish he’d stay a 2 more years to develop

There are 2 older brothers Thanasis was drafted by the Knicks in the 2nd round a couple years ago. The youngest Alexis is still in HS.

I think Kostas should stay at Dayton for another year. He's likely a 2nd round pick. His college numbers don't scream out #1 pick 15 min, 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds, he's gonna have to get stronger and learn to play.

Yeah he needs to stay for another year or maybe even two. He will most likely be stuck on someone's bench or in the G-League.

The brothers that play bball are 4. Thanasis, Giannis, Kostas and Alex. The oldest brother, fransis, plays soccer in Nigeria and is currently trying to find a contract in Greece. Word on the street is that Alex is the most promising after Giannis. He's been on teams' radar since he was 12.

I disagree.

#1 Each year you wait to come out your value automatically falls because teams, prefer younger players who will have more years to improve.

#2 another season, more chance to be exposed, and I think this is far more likely what happens to most that have interest and losing spots or going undrafted.

If the guy has any interested at all he should go why he can still still seal untapped potiental. that's already getting hard when he's going to be 21 later this year.

The best thing going for him is his name and the fact one of his brothers made huge leaps. It's far more likely judging by his stats and age already though he's more like his other brother so if he has any chance to get drafted he should go.

If anything already being with an NBA team that has invested in you or even training in the Gleague with pros will help you make it in the NBA more years than returning to crappy college.

I can see a point that if he's not happy at the college level and not being used right, maybe he's better off to be a 2nd round pick now, and get a pro contract, go play in the G-League. He can get paid while developing. If I had what I need on my team I'd spend a 2nd on him say #44-50.
