Andrew Bogut Won't Return To NBA This Season

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Mar 27, 2018 6:25 pm

Andrew Bogut will not return to the NBA this season.

Bogut had received interest from several NBA teams following his release by the Lakers, but he will remain with his wife who's in the midst of a high-risk pregnancy.

Bogut plans to be ready for free agency this offseason.

Thanks for the honesty.

Not a chance. After he left he was quoted saying stuff about ‘fake friends’ and egos and so forth so it’s pretty obvious he was happy to leave.

Remember though that in the leadup to those finals when the rumours were pretty strong that Durant was coming to Golden State Bogut was the one going public and saying that there was talk in the locker room about why the front office would be wanting to breakup a 73-9 team that has just come off a championship.

Weeks later Bogut would find out it wasn't the front office but it was his own teammates in that locker room Curry, Thompson, Green and Iguodala that had been actively recruiting Durant and kept it behind the other players backs that were going to be traded to make room for Durant. The ultimate stab in the back half way through a playoff series.

No way is Bogut or any other member of that team going back to Golden State to play with the snakes.

Yeah unfortunately you're right about Bogut's chances of coming back - slim if none. Would be cool if they mended whatever past crap. Would be something to see though. Bogut setting screens for Curry Klay KD and another person to initiate the offense (from the elbow).
