Alexis Ajinca Out 4-6 Months With Left Patellar Tendon Surgery

The New Orleans Pelicans announced Alexis Ajinca has undergone successful surgery on his left patellar tendon.


The typical timetable to return to play for this type of injury is 4-6 months.


Ajinca will be a free agent in 2019.

He will be back in Europe next year. Brandan Wright and him are basically the same, good backup bigs, but too fragile for a long NBA season.

Wow, both knees?

That sucks for the Pels, with both him and Cousins out.

Hopefully he can be ready for the start of next season.
