Joel Embiid suffered a facial contusion when he collided with Markelle Fultz during Wednesday's game.

Embiid also went through the concussion protocol but did not have a concussion.

Embiid was taken to a hospital for additional testing.

Embiid posted an Instagram story that showed him in a hospital room and captioned it "Not good."

Preliminary X-rays revealed no fractures.

Before people feel sorry for him, here is a few videos of Embiid knocking Jerian Grant's teeth out and taking a swing at Westbrook's head. If he took a shot from a teammate, that is just karma giving him a taste of his own medicine.

Jerian Grant was hit with incidental contact. If he hadn't hit Embiid's arm, his body wouldn't have turned. This isn't even a foul IMO, unless maybe on Grant.

That's a foul of Embiid for sure, but he was certainly going for the ball (hitting it pretty cleanly first), but he swung through and clipped BeastBrook.

He's big, long and strong, he's going to be involved in these sorts of things. Intent and whether or not they are basketball related should be your measuring stick. Embiid was not trying to injure anybody and both of these examples happened within the natural play of the game.

I’m surprised his hard fouls after the whistle never get talked about. At this point I’ve seen some games where it happens up to 2 or 3 times that he gets away with. Hard to say if it’s intentional. He seems to come baring hard down on people (player usually ends up the floor) after a reach in and he comes slamming into them “for a block” always getting a free shot in.

Well, those were the first two results when you type "Embiid elbow". They both took place over the last two months. Here is another one for good measure also within the last two months. Three elbows injuring people within two months indicates a trend forming...

Nice to see you can admit the follow through was a foul. Embiid's hand to the face is a bit more than a clip though. Here is a clip of a third elbow from Embiid. I can agree they are not all intentional, but three elbows in two months is a bit concerning, he should be a bit more aware of people on the court. Maybe him taking one himself will help him give a crap about others moving forward.
