Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon May 14, 2018 1:56 pm

Mike Budenholzer has emerged as the candidate of focus for both the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks.

Budenholzer and the Atlanta Hawks parted ways this offseason.

get it done Masai, i'm pretty sure he'll want to coach a 59 win team with 2 all stars with a solid bench in the 9th largest city in north america.

milwaukee is nice too, but its not toronto.

them Hawks played nicely in the regular season and got swept by Cavs twice

9th? Try 4th behind Mexico City, NY and LA. Yes we’re now bigger than Chicago.

It’s gonna be tough to improve on a 59 win team in the Raptors.

The Bucks have a superstar in Giannis, to go with Middleton, Bledsoe, Jabari, Maker. All that team needs is some real direction. And if he takes them from 7th seed to a 50 win team, he will be praised by his bosses and league wide. A much easier task at hand for him in Milwaukee.

... and I’m from Toronto lol

Also doesn't Canada have socialized medicine for all its citizens ? Just saying they are better than us when it comes to looking after their citizens.

Americans would argue that since the government dictates your health care and since you don’t have the right to bare arms, that we are less free than they are.

Not saying I agree, but this is the mentality of some Yanks...

Higher minimum wage
Less crime
Universal health care
A fraction of the cost to go to University
1 year maternity leave
To name a few more

But to be fair, the OP said America is more ‘free’, not the place with a higher standard of living.

Yeah, it sucks that Canadians are not free to drink lead-poisoned water. If the government takes away the lead water, the next logical step is to take away the lead bullets.

Coach Budenholzer's smart move would be to coach Bucks - he would have a legitimate top 10 player in Giannis, something which Toronto does not have. Also, unless there are trades coming, Toronto's roster will stand pat. Immense pressure on the next Raptors coach to make it to / past the ECF or risk being churned out like Casey. Another intriguing position would be to coach the Orlando Magic - which would probably be the most ideal landing spot. No pressure on the franchise to win now - Coach Bud would get the chance to build a culture. Orlando has yet to recover from the Dwight Howard nightmare and made some awful moves via draft and trades (i.e. Oladipo, Ibaka signing & trade). Either way, whoever lands him is going to get one of the best coaches in the business.
