Royal Ivey Finalizing Deal To Join Knicks As Assistant Coach

Royal Ivey is finalizing a contract to become an assistant coach on the staff of David Fizdale with the New York Knicks.


Ivey has received interest from other teams for an assistant coach job, including the Philadelphia 76ers.


Ivey played high school basketball in Queens.

Of all the great basketball minds globally - internationally based and US - Knicks adding Royal Ivey?

Will give him benefit of the doubt, but would probably be worthwhile to balance out the coaching staff with global talent, not just native New Yorkers.

Don't underestimate Royal Ivey and his ability to coach, lead and connect with today's players.
