Mike Zarren, David Griffin, Kiki VanDeWeghe Considered Candidates For 76ers' GM Job

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jun 8, 2018 7:13 pm

Mike Zarren, David Griffin and Kiki VanDeWeghe have been identified as potential candidates for the Philadelphia 76ers' general manager job.

Zarren was a finalist for the job and turned down an offer for it before it went to Sam Hinkie. Zarren is a longtime executive with the Boston Celtics and is considered a top candidate.

Griffin is also expected to be interviewed.

VanDeWeghe's name has also been floated as a candidate.

The 76ers parted ways with Bryan Colangelo on Thursday and Brett Brown is running their basketball operations department on an interim basis.

Oh no, we don't get the hinky one again?

Stealing Zarren from Ainge might do something.

I know you’re being sarcastic - but Hinkie would never be back in Philly. They did him wrong, man.

The league/Silver did him wrong as much as the team did.

Ham Sinkie isn't doing anything these days.

Philly could restart the process all over again.

Hey, who knows? Many fans want him, the ownership isn't saying no, if he's OK with it, why not?
