LOL! In your dreams fam. Still, I wouldn't be above taking on Parson's **** contract since we'll be rebuilding anyway.

It is comments like this that brings to mind a certain Rick James quote "cocaine is a hell of a drug".

Please don't smoke crack and post on this board, this comment is a perfect example of what can happen when you do.

haha for sure. that 'help-keep-lebron-koolaid-mix'

It's actually a move I think they make if they believe LeBron is gone. Starting a rebuld with two top 10 picks (maybe they could even combine 4 & 8 to move up to #2) is a lot better than where they were in 2010.

celtics aint gonna do that .. you can't rebuild forever..

they are ready to compete .. kyrie will re-sign there - i see no reason why he wouldn't

the articles about him "coming to ny",etc are clickbait

There was rumor the Celtics want Bamba.

It does make sense to trade Kyrie cuz of his contract situation, knee and Rozier.

Gives MEM a boost before their current window closes. They don't have time to wait for a pick to develop.

Nice, Parsons can help them tank.

Maybe Love/Korver for Parsons/Harrison/no.4?

The Grizz surely has a good defensive identity. 8-)

The Cavs don't need Korver anymore for sure.

I think we may have found the rare "both teams win" trade scenario. :D

Nice, maybe the Cavs then use the 4th to offload TT and JR?

Odd how BronInc craters a team with his 1+1 hostage deals.
youre left hoping to swing a Parsons/Love deal.
wow.

how does a 1+1 "crater" a team any more than a long term deal would?

BronInc 1+1 are more damaging than other 1s. although he's tech a player, his "Partners" are agency owners(reps players, coaches, execs) and hold sway over FOs.
major conflict of interest.
craters teams w overbid contracts of players who are SPECIFIC to him.
take BronInc off CLE and put Steph in there, CLE would sink.

none of which would be any different if he were on a long-term deal. they still would've given j.r. smith that deal, they still would've given TT that deal, they still would have traded for/signed kevin love long-term, etc. etc.

it's not like he demanded the long-term j.r. and TT deals and then left town a year later

take BronInc off CLE and put Steph in there, CLE would sink.

take any superstar off a team that has been built around him (and they all are) and the team will fare worse when a dissimilar superstar is suddenly inserted in his place

no one was bidding TT JR that level of $/Yrs. CLE wouldnt have done it if not held hostage.
a LONGTERM BronInc deal would keep him bundled with his paid for handpicked roster.
unlikely Love would be there. highly unlikely.
LONGTERM deal would be VERY different.
BronInc is a GENIUS. he understands numbers/narrative and leverage.
he demanded the TT JR deals and leaving town two yrs later.

pt 2:
IND. bye PG. they look fine.
BOS. by IT. incoming Ky. looks fine.
why? FO didnt succumb to leverage.

no one was bidding TT JR that level of $/Yrs. CLE wouldnt have done it if not held hostage.

them being held hostage had ZERO to do with the length of LeBron's deal. in fact, they were MORE likely to do it if lebron was committed well into the future

a LONGTERM BronInc deal would keep him bundled with his paid for handpicked roster.

has nothing to do with whether they make the deals or not

unlikely Love would be there. highly unlikely.

what in holy hell are you talking about?! if lebron was there long-term they WOULDN'T have signed love long term? that makes no sense. again, if anything they were MORE likely to sign him long-term with the understanding that lebron would be around a while. the 1+1 surely made them squeamish about giving long-term deals to the supporting cast. they held out for quite a while before giving TT big money. they probably would have maxed him out immediately if lebron was on a 5 year deal

BronInc is a GENIUS. he understands numbers/narrative and leverage.
he demanded the TT JR deals and leaving town two yrs later.

he is leaving 3 years into TT's 5 year deal. the cavs likely still would have done that even if they KNEW lebron would be leaving in 3 years. would they have given j.r. the same 4 year deal the following season? maybe not

and it doesn't even require an average IQ to understand that if you're the best player in basketball you have a lot of leverage when it comes to the rest of the roster

pt 2:
IND. bye PG. they look fine.
BOS. by IT. incoming Ky. looks fine.
why? FO didnt succumb to leverage.

PG and IT are not lebron james. they had no leverage

if you want a great example of a FO that didn't buckle to an actual superstar's demands look at jerry krause's bulls. krause traded his best friend charles oakley, ticked him off by hyping kukoc and famously said "organizations win championships"

WRONG. agree to disagree. youre digging into your position. fine.

i'm not sure what him playing baseball has to do with this discussion. but if you're suggesting there was a some secret gambling suspension that everyone involved has kept secret all these years (and which would have served absolutely no purpose) you're off your rocker

Orlando fan obviously. In this scenario Gordon is gone, maybe in a separate sign and trade for draft picks.
