I still do not get this situation at all.

There had to have been some really bad things going on in that locker room that people just couldn't fathom the Spurs organization having. Was it Pop? Did they screw him on his last contract somehow? What?

He and Spurs should be obliged to give a public explanation before taking any step

will a team actually give out any major assets without having him go through full physical ?
I think his value has plummeted significantly since last year.

YES teams would love to have KL. he's fine physically.
KL is not gonna cleanout his desired Team's roster in a trade for him.
KL has ALL the leverage. do you understand what that means? full leverage over his current team and destined team.

I would say that the Spurs have quite a bit of leverage. There's no way they're giving him up to the Lakers. They're going to hold out for an Eastern Conference team. Why on earth would they give him to the Lakers for the likes of Ball or Kuzma when they'll be setting off a possible Lakers dynasty for the next 5 years? Makes no sense at all. They're better off letting him walk in a year and by then the Lakers most likely won't have the cap space (unless they decide to wait ANOTHER year and LBJ and PG take 1+1 deals).

Pop is washed up. Everybody is too nice to say it. he's done. he's PHIL 2011.
Why didnt he "Build" another KL during the past 3 seasons?
he "built" TP while Manu was in his prime.
ohhhh, bc he cant. u dont build players. this isnt NBA2k.

You build opportunity and groom for success. But I'm a teacher, so maybe I look at it differently.

would be evident that KL did alot of self-building, wouldnt u say?
an opportunity is given. sustaining it and thriving on the opp is an act of self.
he didnt flunk when he dominated practice as a rook, and he excelled beyond the plan as a starter.
let's not inflate POP's value in KL's performance.

Everybody knows Pop has one foot out of the door. The “Spurs Way” doesn’t work when your HC is going through the motions. SAS will be a lower seed 1st round exit for the next two years, then Pop retires after the Olympics and they will be back in the lottery for awhile.

If SA is smart; they hold out for Ball, Ingram, and Deng.

He asks to be traded to LA and New York.

Certainly looks like it's his uncle and posse trying to make money off of him.

But no supermax if true.

Totally possible Ingram becomes a better player than Leonard real soon if this happens.

Ball and Murray get a J and they'll be elite.

No team should give up much of anything until he proves he can play basketball again. Just call the bluff and play him, if he refuses to play then no sane team is giving up anything for him.
