Celtics Believe Possibility Of Trading For LeBron James Is 'Unlikely'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jun 15, 2018 10:18 pm

A league source called the possibility of the Boston Celtics signing LeBron James as "unlikely".

The Celtics would need James to opt-in to be traded for one of Kyrie Irving, Al Horford or Gordon Hayward.

The source reiterated that the Celtics are always interested for ways to acquire superstars.

Yes Boston doesn’t want the greatest player of all time. They’d rather have gordon hayward and aron baynes

"Unlikely", that means there's a chance of Kyrie being sonned again? Or there's a chance he might be traded?

If there was a complete opposite of BronInc FO, it would be Ainge.
BronInc wanted BOS before ky outflanked him to it.
Does anyone remember Ainge (player 80s) arguing w Red Auerbach about needing to trade Bird/McHale/Parish?

Unlikely, so it's still possible.

And he carried it out with Pierce and KG.

Ainge is the league's anti-Bron.
So much so that hes eyeing GSW take-down long term.
U ever wonder why he was buying time during the HEAT run? This. Hes not in it for a 1yr rental.

No way it it can happen.

The deal would have to include either Gordon Hayward or Kyrie Irving.

The Cavs aren't trading for Irving, he has one year left on his deal and made this thoughts of staying long-term in Cleveland more than clear, leading to the trade to Boston in the first place. He won't stay long-term, so whats in it for the Cavs?

Even if the Celtics would trade Hayward for LeBron, it's hard to see LeBron agreeing to be Irving's,teammate again since Irving is the only superstar teammate LeBron ever had who elected not to play with him.

Hah, love the informal mention of a potential Kyrie for LBJ trade. More proof that the crap they pass around on this site is nothing better than fake news/horse $hit.

it would obviously be a 3 team trade. Something like Kyrie to Knicks, LBJ to Boston, and salary and picks to Cleveland.
lol
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

That's going to be a lot of salary going back to Cleveland.

Thanks to paying between $10M and $20M each to Kanter, Noah, Hardaway and Courtney Lee the Knicks are already over-the-cap for 18/19 when you consider their draft pick cap holds.

Celts can exchange with forwards, because they're already stacked with them. why not. they can give up Hayward and Jaylen Brown. maybe picks. for Lebron.
