Lonzo Ball Unlikely To Be Retained By Lakers If LeBron James Commits

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Jun 16, 2018 2:08 pm

The future of Lonzo Ball with the Los Angeles Lakers could be short lived if LeBron James chooses to join the franchise this offseason.

Ball was the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

"The one constant that I've heard is Lonzo Ball," said Chris Haynes on a potential piece to be traded for James.

Oh no, no more big market for BBB. LaVar's gonna move to Cleveland?

What?
James will be a free agent?
He could be traded for Leonard?

Lebron
Pg13
Leonard
Ingram
Randle

Position less ball at its peak
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Did Dan Gilbert write this? Why in the hell would the Lakers give up anything for Lebron James?

Hopefully the Cavs would quickly move Lonzo elsewhere.

Everyone and his mother knew that, James needs at least average talent around him and Ball is awful + his dad is super cancer.

L.A. Would need to clear salary to make multiple max signings, Lebron would opt in on his one year and get moved after L.A. either signed George or made a trade for somone like Leonard.

I actually think they should keep him if he goes to Cleveland. He still has a fan base and can bring some ticket sales. Not to mention, he does have talent and a chance to become special still.
That said, if another team comes offering a nice deal for him, you also have to consider it.

Everybody needs to know that the leaks out there about the Lakers are coming from Pelinka.

It was smart of Magic to put an agent in charge of the FO. Pelinka can really set the narrative.

Whether the narrative actually comes true or not is another story.

These Lakers were showing a lot of potential at the end of the season yet people want Ball, Ingram and Kuz gone just like that? That's just crazy. All they have to do is get PG and bring in someone else and they should be able to get to the Playoffs to compete. No thanks to Lebron.

I can’t wait to see Laker fans get whiplash from turning on Lolzo so quickly. Just like they did with D’Angelo.

You can't be a big baller living in Cleveland
On Curry declining

I Didn’t see anyone mention Ingram and Kuzma here.

And yes, if youre a lottery team and can land the best player in the NBA, that’s a very good thing. Laker fans should know better than anyone that you need great players to compete for championships.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

There are other great players in the league other than Lebron. He can go to your Raps for all I care.

Sad to say but the Balls did this to themselves. I love Lonzo but a part of me don’t mind him getting traded just to stick it to Lavar.

See the problem with some Lakers fans is they've been hating on LeBron his whole career trying to protect Kobe's legacy that they've failed to appreciate the one in a generation talent that LeBron is. So now when they have a chance to sign him to the lottery Lakers they still butt hurt because he has surpassed Kobe as an all time great. If you were a Nba fan first, a laker fan 2nd, and a Kobe fan 3rd you wouldn't have this issue.
