Karl-Anthony Towns: I Have A Lot Of Things That Have To Be Talked About

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jul 19, 2018 12:59 am

Karl-Anthony Towns hosted a basketball camp on Wednesday and was asked if Minnesota still feels like his second home.

“I think I’ve done a lot of things here. I’m very proud of the things I’ve been able to do so far,” Towns said in response to the final question of the session about whether he considers Minnesota a second home. “But I have a lot of things that have to be talked about, so I’ll move on.”

Towns is eligible to sign a max contract extension this offseason, but his relationship with the Minnesota Timberwolves is uncertain.

There have been reports of issues between Towns and Tom Thibodeau.

I can’t even understand what he’s saying in the second part, he sounds like a politician. Doesn’t sound good for Minny.

If it comes to a choice of Thibs or KAT even Glen Taylor isn't dumb enough to choose Thibs

I think KAT is a building block even if they do rebuild

Sounds out of context.

Taken in a vacuum it sounds bad like he needs to talk about things before signing an extension or whatever. But taken as an answer to one question among many, saying "I've got a lot to talk about so let's move on" sounds more like he just wanted to talk about other subjects at the time.

Well this is the guy who wanted to give Wiggins $150 million despite no evidence that Wiggins is actually good at basketball.

as ive been noting since BEFORE the playoffs; their is a real personality clash in Min, and it isnt as basic as Thibball v KAT.

Old School (Thib/Jimmy/Teague/Taj/DRose/Crawford) were on a different page than the New School (KAT/AW/Dieng/etc).
KAT/AW have been alienated...OLD SCHOOL dominates this team. OLD SCHOOL has a declining ceiling. FO is not strong enough to beat Old School in a turf war.

I think it is pretty obvious what he is saying. He wants out of there ASAP.

Karl-Anthony Towns is a teenage girl in a man's body.
Whenever this guy talks, I cringe.

Ship him out before you foolishly max him and he blows up in your face. Teams need players, not issues and opinions.

We've reached a point in the NBA where some players are too dumb to even realize that they are talking themselves out of tens millions of dollars.

He wants to dictate how the team is run. He wants to pick the coach. :nonono:

That's exactly what it was. He was at his BBall camp for kids and didn't want to talk about anything else. In fact, his camp told ALL of the media before it started that if they brought up anything outside of his camp, the interview would be shut down.

So stop with this click bait and bring real news.

They are taking the second part out of context. He was telling the person that was asking him the question at his basketball camp that he doesn't want to talk about it. They have more things that are basketball camp related to talk about so he wants to move on to the basketball camp related questions. The second part is not about Minny at all, but about the situation going on at the time during the question period of his camp.

Poor article titling and pure clickbait RealGM. Pretty much a pure example of fake news.

NBA Stars go through extensive "media" training.
they know when/how they get quoted.
they all have a dozen ready-made quotes for these types of questions.
if asked something remotely similar to this: he would say something sim to "i love MIN, this is my home, let's try to win a chip next year" aka a noncommittal committed answer

OUT OF CONTEXT is not relevant. the refusal to answer is an ember that will catch fire. they know how to answer these questions.
