pre-draft he was so young and I thought he had the skill to be a beast. unfortunately really doesnt have the motor to be a good player

As an IU fan, his skill level wasn't anything close to NBA level when he decided to forego at least 3 more years of eligibility to declare for the NBA draft. He was still very raw and incomplete. On the business side of things though, it's ignorant not to turn pro when you are a likely first round pick. I don't know if that's what lead him to declare or otherwise but when he did, the state of Indiana knew he wasn't ready.
