Trevor Booker is nearing agreement on a deal with the Shanxi Brave Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Brandon Jennings and Luis Scola played for Shanxi last season.

Last season, Booker played for the Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers and Indiana Pacers.

Too bad

He'd be a perfect bench piece for Toronto

Tough league! Vince Carter and some of these other 40 somethings need to retire.

I'm shocked he can't get a deal anywhere in the NBA.... Loved him with the Pacers last year.

Made a call to his agent inquiring on bodyguard services. And now we just wait.

WTF he's a good reserve. Lots of energy off the bench. Surprised no one picked him up.

Maybe he prefers the big money in China. NBA does not pay well for its bench players. If you are a bench player and you have a family to feed, then China is an obvious proposition.

I mean, it isn't soccer. You are vastly over-stating the pay in China. The veterans minimum for a guy with 8 years of service in the NBA is $2,165,481 in the NBA. There are not a a lot of guys making more than that in China. Jimmer is an absolute star over there and makes 1.8 a year. Brandon Jennings made 1.5 last year in China.
