Nick Young Arrested During Routine Traffic Stop

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:34 pm

Nick Young was arrested in Hollywood during a late-night stop for a routine traffic violation.

Officer Mike Lopez, a department spokesman, told The Associated Press that Young was arrested Friday for delaying an investigation, a misdemeanor.

Lopez says Young didn't obey the officers, became upset and caused a delay.

Young remains a free agent this offseason.

I guess we'd have to know the details of exactly what happened firs, lets not forget what happened to Sterling Brown over an illegally parked car.

But considering it was Nick Young, it's hard to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I Bet you didn’t watch the unedited Brown video and only the edited race-baiting video from cnn and espn

You're missing the part where sterling brown had his hands in his pockets and then said I'm holding on to something. If when asked to show his hands he would've complied the force would've likely never taken place. Him saying "I'm holding on to something" or "I have something in my pockets" (I can't remember what the wording was) was what turned the situation into what it became. The parking violation caused the interaction, but did NOT cause the force.

Brown only has himself to blame. The parking lot was completely empty and he's a professional athlete in his early 20's. How hard would it be to properly park, leave the disabled parking spots for someone that's actually in physical need of one, and walk a few extra feet?

My favorite part about your post is you say “remember sterling brown” as if everyone feels the same way about the situation, not realizing way more people disagree with your point of view

The remembering Sterling Brown means we shouldn’t judge something like this based on almost zero information. But I’m glad you liked that part so much.

As it is, the police officers involved with Brown were disciplined for the incident because of the way they handled things and because the reports they submitted did NOT match what the video showed. Internal Affairs even got involved and the cops ultimately apologized to Brown for their actions. And we should probably remember it was over an illegally parked car, normal protocol in such an instance is to write a ticket and place it on the windshield not confront the vehicle’s owner with 8 police officers and treat it like a criminal offense. I’ve never heard of any cop confronting someone over parking let alone having 8 of them show up.

What Brown said in the video was he had stuff in his pockets. That’s all. But sure, it was all Brown’s fault He only has himself to blame. Let’s go with that. Excellent interpretation of the events on your part...geezez

I know I'm going to regret getting involved... But I'm pretty sure that every disabled parking sign says you'll be ticketed and/or towed for parking there without a permit. Why the police couldn't simply write a gargantuan ticket for double-parking in a handicap zone, then call any of the private towing companies that will happy impound your car at 2am or whatever time it was, instead of calling for backup... Is a question I highly doubt you'd like to answer, but I'd love to hear an explanation for... because like Hater said about Nick Young, giving you the benefit of the doubt is probably a bad idea.

The fact that my first graders can follow basic directions is proof enough they're being parented very well, thank you very much. Also, Ad hominen attacks are real mature. Your dismissive response about obeying legitimate authority is what ills much of our society today.

on a positive note at least they didnt kill him like tyler honeycut
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

there is no law petty enough that police wouldn't kill you over in order to enforce it

It's no surprise that you take my critique as an attack rather than seek understanding.
You only further my point and legitimize my concern.

I don't want to drag this further into the muck but it interesting that you praise the ability to "follow basic directions", something your average household pet could do. One would think you would have greater aspirations for the youth in your charge.
Perhaps I gave you too much credit.

Personally, I respect critical thinking. I believe investigation and assessment before judgement has value in a civilized society.
Apparently you don't share those sentiments, as is your right. Impetuousness is the prerogative of the lout.
I can only hope you aren't the type that would deprive those youngsters their right to choose.

Note to swaggy though... Not everyone watches the golden State bench and knows who you are.

Then again silver probably called his agent and told him they needed a racially charged incident, free pub.
