The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Collin Sexton with the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and have considered him a foundational piece in the post-LeBron James era.

The line on Sexton throughout the Cleveland organization is that he does not “know how to play.” 

Sexton is playing 25 minutes a night, averaging 11.1 points and 2.2 assists.

The Cavaliers' veterans have also been discouraged by Sexton's behavior following losses in which he doesn't seem bothered.

Sexton has the full support of Dan Gilbert, who wants him to remain on the court to continue developing.

Its obvious to anybody who's been watching that he CAN play.

Cavs vets (if you believe this narrative) should be more worried about how they are playing. George Hill has been inconsequential for the Cavs this season, has no effect on the game. Quite the opposite with Sexton. Sexton is not the problem. Its the stuff we're running and who we're trusting to run it.

Gilbert please sell this team to lifetime basketball people, Cavs fans dont deserve this mess.

Damn give the kid a minute or two to find his way, I find it laughable that the garbage vets on this team are telling someone they can't play.

Ball movement confuses him. He need to Penetrate the Bigs, get deep, suck the D in, and spot up shoot. He should also learn how to play basketball.

Yea, he looks pretty raw.

Maybe they really should seriously tank from now on instead of hoping Sexton's gonna bring them into the playoffs.

Why would he care about losing on a team that's going nowhere?

This is pretty much exactly what I said when I saw him play the Raptors last month. He has talent but his bball IQ isn't even close to an NBA level right now so he's hurting his team every time he takes the floor. And sometimes fixing that isn't as simple as 'give him time'. Some guys never figure out how to play.

Sexton Learned from lebron when.. Wasnt Kyrie leading the team to two straight number 1 draft picks after he himself was one.. Didnt lebron take this 1 win team to the NBA finals 4 straight years? But dont let facts get in the way of a kool story

Sexton learned from Lebron by watching him as the rear of the world has the last few years. You don't have to be a teammate to observe the behaviour. Since he took the reigns from Lebron, he is par for the course for the franchise. One title in four years and it would be zero titles if the league didn't gift it to him.

How is life working out for him now that he isn't on a Super Team? I wouldn't hold my breath on four more straight Finals appearances, he has been exposed for the cherry picker he is.

Lebron was the leader of the team last year, this year, Sexton was given the reigns to lead them moving forward. You need help with simple comprehension. Go to class, worry about hobbies later when you can grasp easy concepts like this.
