Kristaps Porzingis Posts Sprinting Photos In Response To David Fizdale

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Nov 9, 2018 3:59 pm

Kristaps Porzingis posted two pictures of himself sprinting on an outdoor track in response to comments from David Fizdale that he's only doing some light running.

Fizdale said Porzingis was "working his butt off" but hadn't progressed significantly from the activity he was engaged in before training camp, which included light running and shooting.

"He's still kind of there, [no] huge jumps," Fizdale said.

Porzingis underwent surgery to repair an ACL tear in his left knee in mid-February.

The Knicks don't yet have a timetable for Porzingis to return.

They are trying to tank his value by playing him as little as possible this season.

i don't buy it. KP is a max cat any way you slice it. if the knicks didn't want him, any other team with cap space would max him right out.

At one time, I wanted the B'Zers to bring in Fizdale. At one time, I wanted them to go after KP as well. Now, I don't know about either...with the HOT B'Zers killing it as is!

Why didn't they extended him already then?

they can use his cap hold for added cap space in free agency. extend him now and it's gone. it's at least a $10m cap space difference. why lose the opportunity to get him some help?

seems pretty well documented that this is the plan.

fizdale's been desperately hyping his garbage line-up in hopes of increasing their trade value

Because a team could offer him a offer sheet with an Illed contract (player option, trade kicker, etc).

Phil Jackson should've traded him to Boston for Jaylen Brown and the 2017 Brooklyn pick.

Take it easy and slowly, get a high pick.
