Fred Hoiberg, Ryan Saunders Could Be Targets For Wolves If Tom Thibodeau Isn't Retained

The future of Tom Thibodeau as head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves is uncertain as they move into a new phase without Jimmy Butler.

The Wolves were the No. 8 seed last season.

Glen Taylor is known to be very fond of Fred Hoiberg as a potential coaching candidate, who coincidentally replaced Thibodeau with the Bulls.

Ryan Saunders, who is an assistant coach on Thibodeau's staff, is also held in high regard by Taylor.

At this point I think Thibs has lost the team. His credibility was destroyed by letting Butler call the shots. He should have treated him the same as he would any player, but the special treatment he gave JB ruined his hard ass boss look. Saunders isn't ready IMO, but we might have to take a risk for fear he could actually be a second coming of Flip. Losing him to another team would lose a lot of the players as they seem to really like him.
