NBA Owners Not Expected To Consider Expansion Until At Least 2025

NBA owners are not currently considering expansion and are not expected to begin to in the near future, according to multiple sources.
Expansion could be considered again as part of the next television package discussions in 2025.
The NHL awarded Seattle an expansion team on Tuesday.
An NBA team could conceivably attempt to relocate to Seattle before then with the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans considered most likely.

The NBA doesn't need expansion. If anything, it needs to contract two teams.

I used to be against contraction but with all the nba's best players teaming up, its time to revisit contraction

The amount of NBA level talent is increasing with the globalization of the game. There's no need to contract teams and the league will likely be ripe for expansion 7 years from now.
In the USA, both hockey and American football have 32 franchise already. It makes sense going forward.

Seattle will have to worry about competition from Louisville, Vancouver, Mexico City, & Las Vegas.
