John Wall To Miss Game For 'Personal Reasons'

John Wall will sit out tonight's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to "personal reasons". Although the team did not give specifics, he is expecting the birth of his first child.

A frequent target of trade rumors, Wall is averaging 21.3 points and 8.4 assists this season.

Tomas Satoransky and Austin Rivers are likely to replace his minutes in the lineup.

Why would they list it as "personal reasons" if the real reason is "birth of his child"? I mean, missing a game to be there at your 1st child's birth is completely acceptable. No reason to make it sound like something else.

The ESPN preview of the game mentioned nothing about Wall having a child. The postgame mentions nothing of it, either.

Beal went off without Wall around. Maybe it's the precursor to a deal. Or maybe the Wiz told him to hit the treadmill and take some time for himself.
