Joakim Noah signed a one-year deal with the Memphis Grizzlies because he rediscovered his love for the game.

"I just got here like two days ago," Noah said. "I thought that he would wait at least until I knew the plays. I’m just happy that coach believes in me, put me in the game like that. It means a lot to me. With that said, I’m taking none of these moments for granted. Because all this time made me realize how much I love basketball.”

Noah received a buyout from the New York Knicks.

“I’m here alone," Noah said. "I left my family behind. I’m here because I love to play basketball. It wasn’t because of money. It wasn’t because of any of those things. It was because I want to play basketball and I want to be with a good group.

"I’m cherishing all these moments.”

Translation:

I'm here because nobody else would sign me and couldn't even win the backup job on the crappy ass Knicks, who are still paying most of my salary.

Unless you're a Knick fan, Cavs fan, or contributed to paying Noah's last contract why would you dislike him?

Perfect player for Memphis. They won't ask much of him except grind work for 15mins.
People are mad at him for the money He took from the Knicks but it's not his fault the Knicks organization is incompetent.

Watching the game vs Pelicans and he's looking pretty good, maybe his legs shut down again once the games start to pile up but so far so god.
