LeBron James set a new Los Angeles Lakers record for scoring the most points through their first 25 games with the team.

His 717 points surpasses Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 714 points from the 1975-76 season and Shaquille O'Neal's 642 points during his first 25 games as a Laker in 1996.

James is averaging 28.7 points this season, his highest scoring average since 2009.

The kind Lebron is looking to set? He didn't come to the Lakers to win, but I imagine he's got his eye set on the all-time scoring record.

Exactly - and I assume LBJ didn’t have this record at 10, 15 and 20 games or we would have heard about then. So arbitrary and silly.

He will probably end up the all time scoring leader... That said he may still win another ring depends on who the Lakers get.. Also you blaming LBJ for GSW putting the best team ever together...

He turns 34 years old in 3 weeks.

If he continues like this, he's an injury waiting to happen. Lebron is going to be one of those guys who suddenly falls of a cliff athletically after a big injury.
