Bulls Discussing Jabari Parker Trade

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Dec 14, 2018 9:19 pm

The Chicago Bulls have engaged in trade talks with several teams on Jabari Parker.

Parker is no longer in the Bulls' rotation.

Parker signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Bulls in the offseason with the second season being a team option.

“It is a surprise because I did everything I could in the time I was given,” Parker said of his demotion.

“But it is what it is. You can’t pout. You’ve just got to keep moving.

“I’m a basketball player. Everybody knows. I especially know for myself. I just have to stay ready.”

Heat fan here. I'll take him. Everyone has given up on this kid, but he's only 23 (turning 24 soon). He can learn to be an adequate defender.

The 76ers would probably want Justin Holiday as well. He's shooting almost 40% from 3 and is playing solid defense. Not good enough to really be called a "3&D" wing, but at an expiring 4.5m contract I can't see why Philly wouldn't want him, especially if they are one of the teams interested in Parker, who is not much of a spot up shooter and likes to handle the ball. Parker can't defend wings, he can't defend PF's much better but his current body type is more suited to play PF. He might find a roll in Philly as a scorer for the bench unit.

No. He doesn’t care to improve. He thinks his ability to shoot long 2s makes him special offensively to the point he doesn’t have to play defense. I’d rather cut him at this point. He’s not a hard worker. He’s a cupcake.
