Mike D'Antoni: You Could Play James Harden At Power Forward

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Dec 19, 2018 11:41 pm

In complimenting the lineup versatility that Brandon Knight offers the Houston Rockets, Mike D'Antoni threw out the possibility of a four-guard lineup featuring James Harden at power forward.

D'Antoni said "the good thing about James Harden, you could play him at the 4. We could have three little guys and James Harden at the 4 and Clint (Capela)".

Knight recently made his season-debut following an ACL tear last March. The Rockets staff compared him to Eric Gordon in terms of his defensive ability.

“He’s smart, he shoots the ball extremely well,” D’Antoni added. “Before he got hurt, he’s at an All-Star level. The guy can play".

That’s a harden strength...he can poorly defend multiple positions.

With the refs hanging from his nuts, I don’t doubt it

Harden is great at not defending all positions. He can also do a back step travel with anyone guarding him.

Very versatile

Sure until they put AD or KD or GA or anyone with length and manoverability on him.

Harden can defend all 1-5 positions dayum. Come on now Mike, you are selling him short.
