Spurs Interested In Trading For Wing

The San Antonio Spurs have attempted to acquire a wing player over the last few months.

The Spurs had interest in trading for Trevor Ariza but were unable to find a suitable trade with the Phoenix Suns.

Stanley Johnson could be a potential target for the Spurs. Assistant general manager Brian Wright was in the front office of the Detroit Pistons when he was drafted in 2015. Executives believe Wright remains a supporter of Johnson.

“Can (the Spurs) fix everything that’s wrong with him?” another NBA scout asked, pointing to Johnson’s shooting as a concern. “Maybe (the Spurs) are the culture for him to turn him around.”

Johnson will be a restricted free agent this offseason.

If there’s anyone that can fix Stanley Johnson’s shot, it’s Chip Engelland.

Take him, he’s still a really good defender even if he can’t ever get a consistent offense

Why go for an unknown like Stan, if you can have Barnes? Make it happen, Buford!

Considering San Antonio’s extremely limited assets, it’s hard to see them getting a guy like Barnes or even Otto Porter. I also want to put it out there that Andrew Wiggins has zero trade value. He is having statistically the worst season of his career and has continued to move further away from what everyone believed to be a sure thing. He takes over 70% of his shots from mid range and does not make even 40% of them. Trash
