Jazz, Blazers, Mavericks Interested In Otto Porter Jr.

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Feb 4, 2019 2:39 pm

The Washington Wizards have received interest in Otto Porter Jr. from the Utah Jazz, Portland Trail Blazers and Dallas Mavericks and others.

Porter has a player option for the 20-21 season.

Porter signed an offer sheet with the Brooklyn Nets in 2017 that was matched by the Wizards.

I like Porter but it feels like a lateral move from HB on a longer deal.

Wizards should see if they can get a guy like Zach Collins back from POR.

Pretty good PF/C prospect but stuck behind Nurkic.

The Jazz dont need Porter, imagine overpaying for a F when they already have Ingles and Crowder = Stupid.
They need to fix the PG situation.

Trade with the Pelicans - holiday/mirotic - favors/rubio/draft picks and maybe take back a bad contract from the pelicans in the package.

Holiday-Mitchell-Ingles-Mirotic-Gobert could be the 2nd best team in the west.

Nurkic and McCollum and Picks ---------- A.Davis

Lillard and Davis now thats a duo.

Holiday and McCollum would also be a good backcourt fit with Nurkic in the middle.

The Lillard/McCollum backcourt is a failure - they equal less than the sum of their parts - too much overlap on offense and too deficient on defense.

That's such a 2016 take. it's 2019 try and keep up.
