Lakers Improve Offer To Pelicans To Include Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram

The Los Angeles Lakers have improved their offer to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis to include taking back Solomon Hill along with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson and two first round picks.

Dell Demps and Magic Johnson have been in touch twice on Monday.

This is a really good offer for the Pelicans, but I think the Lakers might regret making this move. While AD is great, if all they have to do is wait until 2020 to get him, there is no reason to gut their team and lose two valuable wings in order to get him a little sooner (AD/Lebron wouldn't win a championship this year anyway). The Knicks did a similar move to get Melo, and it didn't end well for them.

Nah, they offered more than enough especially if this includes a pick. We must consider that the Lakers could still wait and get a FA for nothing but AD could still walk after a year and a half.

A lot can happen in two years. Look at PG. Lakers got cute with him and it backfired. LeBron will be 36 come 2020. His window is short. Yeah, they won't win it this year, but if they add a Klay or Irving to team up with Davis and LeBron they're the favourites in 2019-20. Not sure why they'd take back Solomon Hill though. NOP better be adding something valuable like a 1st rounder if that's the case.

that's a terrible package.. but that's as good as the lakers can offer... so i guess dell demps has to do it... wish we knew what other teams are offering. these are good role players... but do u really want to give up a superstar in his prime for "good role players"? and they dont have good 1st round picks as long as lebron is there.

AD is a generational player. Read the names you are giving up for him and NONE comes close to what he is. Lakers need to make this happen NOW. LeBron will be 35 in 2020 and if they can't close by the deadline, I am not sure they will post the best package with Boston, Bucks, NY Knicks, Clippers and Nuggets maybe jumping on the bidding.

This is a real offer finally. So now the question is: Are the Pelicans rebuilding? Because if so, something very close to this probably gets it done. If they want to continue to compete, however... look for the Clippers and a Tobias Harris-based offer to win the day.

"Not sure why they'd take Solomon Hill". Well cause they'd be getting Anthony Davis, that's why! The Pels need flexibility to build on those young guys and offer them extensions. If Lakers are serious, this is not a deal breaker and no way the pels give a 1st round to the lakers for Hill's contract. Pels have the leverage here, they can wait

Bring the Magic into the deal and send Ball to Orlando and the Pels get Grant or Simmons plus the Magic 2019 top 5 protected pick.

I don't see the Clippers having the assets to get AD. They owe a #1 to the Celtics so it's gonna be hard to send picks.

They wont get a better off than this from anyone unless someone trades a top 1 or 2 pick in next years draft for 1 year of AD in the summer. (Which they would be dumb to)

you're the first person who has brought up lebron's age. no one else has. not lowe not windhorst not nobody.

the lakers need to make this happen NOW. they're screwed if nop trades him to another team - they CANNOT wait another 1.5yrs on this. plus lebron is signed up for 4yrs. what,,,lal is going to waste 2 of 'em
