The Houston Rockets have agreed to trade James Ennis to the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Rockets will have swap rights to a 2021 second round pick.

I assume Morey has something more in mind here, but I'm not too sad to see Ennis go. He seemed destined to always disappoint based on his play so far this season. We just need someone who can rebound!

Nothing more in mind, just a tax-cutting move. Sixers taking a flyer on an extra shooter and Rockets saving like $3m off their tax bill. They're still over the tax by like $5-6m but it's not gonna be too expensive for a pretty good team.

Morey always has more in mind. This doesn't mean it will be anything splashy or immediately noticeable.

Good pickup for the Sixers, tho Enis was having a trash year. Still, as a 3rd option off the bench, why not? He can shoot and moves reasonably well. Don't know if I'd rather have his slightly positive offense and poor defense, or Corey Brewers good defense and slightly poorer offense... either way, nice pick up for the Sixers. Getting them second round picks is sweet too
