Dwyane Wade On Final All-Star Game Appearance: 'The Game Is In Good Hands'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Feb 18, 2019 7:47 am

Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki were presented with a framed All-Star Game jersey to commemorate their final appearance.

"This one was special. I'm just thankful for the NBA for making sure and accommodating one of the things that I didn't even think I needed or wanted. My team did an amazing job, my family. I couldn't ask for anything more of this weekend. It definitely was my most enjoyable. People like to ask, and this one will take the place now as my most memorable and most enjoyable All-Star," said Wade.

Wade added that it was easy to leave the game considering the talent in the league.

"The game is in good hands. So it's easy to walk away right now."

Nowitzki went 3 for 3 from deep in 4 minutes of play. Wade added 7 points and 4 assists in 10 minutes.

Wade hasn't been relevant since LeBron left Miami. No one's wondering how we'll get along without him.

the thing is had Wade and Nowitzki announce this is their last season?
it will feel weird for them to return next season right?
is Silver going to put them in All-Star game next year again?

I don’t think Dirk had announced anything but Wade did.

Correct Dirk announced nothing.

As recently as Feb 1, Dirk denied that he has decided anything for next year on Zach Lowe's podcast

Obviously, he doesn't need to say anything and he didn't shy away from how awful this season has been, but Dirk definitely never preemptively announced retirement.

Fans gave him a retirement tour all on their own

talk about cringe. Just retire already wade, I hate how this guy is taking from quality basketball with his annoying jersey swaps, altering the traditional all star rules, and having his son be the poster boy everywhere he goes. Great player, but this isn't jordan man

Ppl forget Wade was the best player in the world for a period of 18 months or so. Better than Kobe and LeBron.
