Suns Begin Interviewing Candidates For GM Job

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Feb 28, 2019 1:34 pm

The Phoenix Suns have begun interviewing candidates for their general manager vacancy.

The Suns have employed James Jones and Trevor Bukstein as co-interim general managers since firing Ryan McDonough. Both Jones and Bukstein could stay on as either a general manager or in another role.

The search comes one day after Adrian Wojnarowski was critical of the Suns and their perception around the NBA.

“This is an organization that is in a spiral in almost every way,” Wojnarowski said. “It is a concern for the NBA. Owner Robert Sarver has not seemed to learn a lot of lessons throughout the years about his management style, his hands-on nature and his ability to put an infrastructure in place and allow it to build an organization.”

One of the worst run organisations in pro sports and it's mostly from the ownership on down.

It's really true that good ownership is the biggest advantage in the NBA, even above weather and market size (See: Clippers esp during Sterling era)

Amazing how the NBA hasn’t intervened and kicked Sarver out or tamed him.

The people in Phoenix deserve better than Sarver.

No way Adam Silver lets an owner ruin the franchise if this was happening in LA or something.

Sarver makes Dolan look competent.

Maybe Jerry Colangelo can get his son a GM Job again in Phoenix. Just let Jerry be a consultant for a while then let him suggest that his son is available for the GM job.
