Nikola Mirotic Out Indefinitely With Sprained, Fractured Thumb

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Mar 20, 2019 7:36 pm

Nikola Mirotic had an X-ray and subsequent examination of his left thumb by team physician Dr. William Raasch at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The exam revealed a sprained thumb and fracture.

Mirotic will be listed as out and his status will be updated as appropriate.

Since being acquired by the Bucks on Feb. 7, Mirotic has played in 14 games (three starts) and is averaging 11.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22.9 minutes per game.

Raps should try and go for that #1 seed. Avoid Philly in round 2.

Ouch, I bet Mirotic wants that swing through back. Should've just let Wagner fly by instead of drawing the foul in the guy's face; the game was already in the books at that point.

I was glad when the Bucks got him...he’s always hurt! Looks like he’ll miss most the playoffs.

Not without Brogdon though, I thought Niko would fill that void to some point after Malcolm got injured.
Now Middleton, Bledsoe and Lopez need to really step up in the playoffs. Also you have Giannis dealing with injury too, which could be the biggest hit off all.
You could say Brogdon returns for the second round, but will he be really as productive as before the injury?

It does suck that they're dealing with so many key injuries this close to the playoffs. But Giannis is good enough to get them past the 1st round. Then we'll see what happens in the 2nd.
