Kristaps Porzingis is being investigated in New York for an alleged rape that a woman told police took place last year.

The victim alleges Porzingis raped her hours after he tore his ACL when he invited her to his Manhattan penthouse.

Investigators consider her credible despite not reporting the alleged attack until over a year later and admitting she discussed receiving $68,000 in hush money.

This so far sounds a little fishy, why would he do it hours after tearing his acl? I would find it hard even being that much bigger to take someone against their will with a torn acl especially considering just hours before he had to be taken of the court with help. Somethings not adding up and if the attorney is telling the truth and she had been reported for extortion months ago it’s not hard to think it is extortion. Maybe it’s another Kobe situation? At least Prozinigis can blame his english on not understanding the word no.

If he was on pain killers and had been drinking alcohol maybe he can sue her for rape? He couldn’t have been in any condition to consent

Lets see...just tore an acl... not sprained a knee...which would be hard enough....Still not playing basketball to this day. But on that day, with his career up in the air he rapes his neighbor....yeah of course!

She lives in the same building as KP...somehow i dont think 68K would cut it.

But yeah....Makes total sense. I mean its not like this guy cant pull chicks just walking down the street...and his brothers were there! I love that out of all the dates for this woman to make up, she chose arguable the least likely night of his life. Hopefully she sees some jail time for attempted extortion. Time to make an example out of women like this.

I guarantee you she didn't' make it up. She was in the apartment that night. These buildings have cameras.

So does this mean the first time KP scored 50 points in a Mavs uniform, the TV commentator will say something awkward, Rachel Nichols will have a monologue saying it's ok to root for KP? and the media will vote against KP making the All-Star team?

The information released thus far does make this sound a bit suspect. I am not saying he is guilty of anything but the "he did not/why would he do it because he can pull chicks" is not a credible argument. Former NFL star Darren Sharper was also someone who could "pull chicks" and we all know how that turned out.

They definitely did have sex but as always these women try to take advantage to try and hit the jack pot. Rose, Cristiano Ronaldo were/are in similar situations. They have to be careful with who they sleep with. I don’t think hush money works anymore, look at the trump situation that lady got paid and still told everyone publicly lol.

On porzingis who knows what actually happened though,the way I see it he can get as many girls as he wants so he doesn’t need to rape anyone but never know maybe he was desperate that night. Most likely the girl is just lying about rape, you don’t come out a year later if he actually did do a horrible thing like this.
