LeBron James Could Play In 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Apr 1, 2019 5:10 pm

LeBron James hasn't participated in a USA Basketball event since the 2012 Olympics in London. James skipped the 2016 Olympics after winning The Finals.

James will skip the FIBA World Cup in China, which is the first USA Basketball competition coached by Gregg Popovich. James will be filming 'Space Jam 2'.

“I love everything about Pop, obviously, but this is not a good summer for me,” James said.

James, however, hasn't ruled out playing in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

“Yeah, that’s a possibility,” James said. “It depends on how I feel. I love the Olympics.”

I really hope he does. Always good to have veteran players on the Olympic roster.

Besides a veteran, not sure if he's that positive showing how he behaved this season with the young lakers. He'll be 36? Maybe his last run at it so why not? Kobe did it while he was a bit older, provided that veteran leadership.
