Jim Boylen Discussing 3-Year Extension With Bulls

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Apr 12, 2019 2:50 am

Jim Boylen and the Chicago Bulls are reportedly discussing a 3-year contract extension.

John Paxson said he believes Boylen is the right coach to lead the Bulls in the future despite the rocky beginning.

"What I've seen is his ability to show these guys that he genuinely cares about them. That his goal is to get them better as individuals. I'm the first to admit that first week was like dynamite blowing up. It was a rocky week. What I've seen since then is a guy that embraces this challenge. He embraces individuals he's coaching. He really does view himself as a teacher, a guy that wants to connect with the players, and sometimes you have to be demanding and hard," said Paxson.

Paxson added that his goal for the Bulls next season is to compete for a playoff position.

WTF? He's terrible. Maybe try the sac coach, but Boylen has severely underperformed. Pax must be a moron.

Pax IS a moron. Lol competing for the playoffs this guy is hilarious maybe if you land Zion.
They have some young intriguing pieces on the roster but they have guys like Arcidiacono, Harrison, Blakenly, Alkins, Sampson, Selden & Felicio. Those guys don't belong in the NBA and that's almost half the roster. So no Pax, getting to the playoffs starts with you building a roster that isn't Booty. You could bring Phil Jackson back and he MIGHT have this group of clowns over achieve for 30 wins. Time to look in the Mirror.

Orlando made the playoffs. Any team can do if they did with a incomplete roster. And despite Brooklyn being a nice team they're similar to Chicago. And half them players won't be back you named. A decent bench can get them in the playoffs.

Yeah....not too sure where you're getting this from. The Bulls were ravaged by injuries more than literally any other team in the nba this season. Heck, they barely even got to play their lottery pick. Who knows what they'll look like next year with a fully healthy roster. Its all question marks. No one actually knows what their main pieces look like on the court together, as they've barely played as a unit. A team of Morant/Lavine/Porter Jr/Markk/Wendell Carter could perhaps make the playoffs. Especially if they sign someone like Rubio or Collison in the off season. Why can't they? I personally don't think they'll stay healthy, but if they do, why not?

Also, while the Bulls bench is far from complete, Arci & Shaq Harrison are very competent bench pieces. This has been acknowledged at this point.

The fact that you dont know his name tells me you also don't know that Dave Joerger was one of the most inconsistent coaches this season. He got sacked because the Kings lost more close games than they should have often due to his coaching style. He blasted players in the moment for hitting game-tying shots. The guy is the last thing a young Bulls team needs.

No way the Bulls would have hired Joerger. Maybe, Minny? Is Saunders back officially?
