Daryl Morey earns approximately $8 million per season with his contract extension with the Houston Rockets, according to industry estimates.
Morey signed a five-year extension with the Rockets last month.
Morey previously signed a contract extension in the summer of 2017.
The Philadelphia 76ers pursued Morey to replace Bryan Colangelo in 2018.
Morey has been general manager of the Rockets since May of 2017.
