Kevin Durant Likely To Return For Either Game 3 Or Game 4

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri May 31, 2019 1:23 pm

Kevin Durant is expected to return from his calf injury at the some point midway through the 2019 Finals.

Durant could return as early as Game 3, but there's a stronger possibility that Game 4 is the most logical option.

He’s not coming back. Steve Kerr is lying as usual.

Mind games, he not coming back from a severely calf strain hell naw. He's probably wishing Golden State to lose this series and laugh all the way to Free Agency.

I don't think this will happen, but if KD doesn't come back and the Warriors win, it's a disaster for him.
I wouldn't blame him if he roots against the Warriors

In other words, Toronto better win game 2. If they are up 2-0, 2-1, or 3-0 when KD returns, they should be in a solid position to pull off 1-2 more wins, even with KD around.

Hasn't played a game or practiced with the team in weeks but he's gonna jump right back into the middle of the NBA Finals no problem.

Sure, makes sense.

(He's not coming back. He's really injured, they're covering for him, and Kerr wants the Raptors guessing.)

The Dubs better pray Durant can come back. Or their threepeat is in serious jeopardy.

Good for KD. I hope he comes back and they still lose. I would love it if the Raps beat GS at full power, that would be an amazing story.

But you just know that if KD comes back and plays hurt then he'll just be hurting GS's chances. I'd rather he kept himself out if he's just going to be a detriment to the team. I do not want to see the winning team get comments like, " Oh this team gets an asterisk because they beat their opponent without their best player."

Stuff like that really irks me.

All the haters slithering out of their rocks cause the dubs dropped 1st away game after a 9-day layoff with No KD, Barely playing Boogie, Injured dragging Iggy, and an ok performance from Klay and ya'll acting like you won the Stanley Cup.

No asterisks. If Toronto wins this thing, even if KD can't come back and Cousins remains almost unplayable, doesn't matter - Raptors get full credit. Every year injuries play a part in who ends up on top. It's not like it only happens every now and again where an injury hurts one team's chances and enhances another's. It's all part of the process. The Warriors are thin, and playing with tired bodies from all of the basketball they've played over the past five years. There's a reason why no other team has gone to 5 straight finals in the modern era - it's a darn hard thing to do. Durant's injury, Igoudala's health struggles and the team's overall difficulties in staying mentally and physically sharp are playing a big roll in this series already. But it doesn't matter. Raptors are playing extremely well, had to march through 3 good teams already, and will have taken down the reigning champs if they take the title. They will have earned it, without question. And I'll smack any fellow Warriors fans that dare claim "we would have won if...". No, none of that nonsense, for all of the above reasons.

Having said that, it's only been one game. Warriors have a chance get the upper hand in this series with a game 2 victory. This series has a long way to go yet.

I hope he comes back, but I have a feeling a "set back" will be announced at some point. It truly seems like they're just stringing us along.

That would be silly though, do people give the 2015 Warriors an asterisk for beating the Cavs without Love and Kyrie?

Yeah they did and Raptors are beating GSW without depth and thier best player.. Boogie clearly less than 100 percent Iggy not ok Durant out no bench players.. GSW was the most stacked team of all time but that is not the team the Raptors are facing..
