Draymond Green Gave Locker Room Speech After Game 4 Loss

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Jun 9, 2019 2:56 pm

Draymond Green gave an impassioned speech in the locker room after the Golden State Warriors' loss in Game 4 of The Finals to the Toronto Raptors.

“Draymond gave a great speech,” Looney told Sam Amick of The Athletic. “He made sure we had our heads up, said ‘Stay confident, know who we are. We didn’t get here by quitting and pouting or giving up. We always believe, and we’ve got a bunch of guys who have been underdogs and who have been counted out before.’ I think we’re going to embrace this challenge more. Everybody probably thinks we’re going to lose now. And being the underdog again, like we haven’t been in a long time, it’s fun. We’ll try to go out there and prove everybody wrong.

“This is a tough challenge. Steve (Kerr) always says, ‘There’s a reason we pour champagne on each other when we win a title. It’s hard. It’s not going to be easy. Nothing in the NBA is easy.’ Toronto is a great team. They’re hungry, but we’re capable of winning. We feel like we have the better team. We’ve just got to go out there and show it.”

Of course you have a better team but they have a far healthier team.. Draymond you have to step up and hit some shots if your team has any chance of getting back in this series and in fairness you have not had to do that in a long time so makes it harder..

No sense in feeling sorry for yourselves because of the circumstances. Nobody else is going to. Just go out and play every minute like its the end of your career and see what happens game 5. Toronto hasn't been the model of consistency in these playoffs by any stretch of the imagination.

We’ve consistently won in these playoffs so I would say that’s a pretty good model.

Raptors have outscored the Warriors in 13 of 16 total quarters this series. Have won 5 games against GS this season which includes a game in which GS played the full complement of all-stars and Kawhi rested. I don't feel like the Raptors fear the Warriors.

Offensively, Dray is having the best playoffs of his career by most statistical measures. His TS% is down a little in the finals but he’s also being guarded by Kawhi Leonard a majority of the time so I doubt that’s the type of situation that will turn Dray into a scorer, but he’s still averaging 9 apg for the series.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

His speech will do no good. If he wants to implore Steph Curry and Sean Livingston to put a body on someone ...good luck on that! Lol.

After his "we will game 4 at home, then game 5 in Toronto and then come back and win in game 6 speech" this seems hollow, reminds me of the Lebron number of rings speech. I don't think trying to be cocky and think you're better than everyone is the way out of this. That might work for Draymond but the rest need to be humble and understand how much of a challenge it is. Curry shoots 47 and still lose. Curry and Thompson shoot 25+ each and still lose. Draymond has a triple double and still lose.`Boogie is back and still lose. They can't say we're the Warrior we will win. They have to realize that right now they are not the best team and in order to win they have to work harder than they do. If not the series is done.
Ska needs to make a comeback.

Clown.

I just want to know how Draymond has only 1 technical foul in the Finals after verbally assaulting the refs every time a call doesn't go his way. Arrogant jacka s s.

Somehow, I picture this as being similar to Paul George's speech in Game of Zones.

KD go, KD go. Steph shoot three, Steph make three. Klay no dribble, Klay no need, Klay shoot, Klay score. Who Looney? Who he?

draymond isnt good enough to give a speech. Dude is good because he knows his role and plays with two-3 other amazing scorers.

Who said they did? GS is a 3 x champ for a reason they aren't sitting around feeling bad about themselves. They'll be ready to fight.

Toronto could win tomorrow and end it in 5. but I doubt the Warriors make it easy on them
