Kevin Durant Helped Off Floor With Injured Calf

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 11, 2019 2:27 am

Kevin Durant appeared to injure his right calf again in the second quarter of Game 5.

The incident occurred with 9:51 remaining in the second quarter as Durant attempted to drive by Serge Ibaka on the right wing. Durant scored 11 points before the injury.

Durant instantly went down in pain, grabbing the lower part of his calf. Durant laid on the floor for a few moments before he was helped off the floor and straight to the locker room accompanied by Andre Iguodala, Stephen Curry and Bob Myers.

Durant had been out since May 8th.

Got to give him credit for trying, but what's up with GS' medical staff for letting him try?

Look at this clip of his leg during the injury tonight. Achilles popped and you can see it.

Looks like KD gambled and lost, and might not even play next season either.

Now the question is, why didn't the Warriors protect a player from re-injuring himself and endangering the rest of his career?
Did Steve Kerr push KD out there?

and this is why past players would always take years over flrexibility on their contracts. the lebron strategy only works if you were engineered in a lab to be the genetic freak that is Lebron James.

If a player is injured, no coach is going to make him play.

GSW warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals run marred by questionable decisions by the front office.

Bob Meyers forcing players back out of desperation & potentially ruining the careers of one of the all time greats & several great players in contract years.

Probably the most horrible management of roster injuries have seen in a long time : gambling with players health despite them winning consecutive titles. Completely lost respect for their Personnel Management team.

Rush Durant back from a calf injury in a contract year ... to see him rupture his achilles.

Rush Kevon Looney back from a chest fracture in a contract year ... to seem re-aggravate a fractured chest

Rush Klay Thompson back from a hamstring injury in a contract year ... after he aggravates his hamstring

Rush Demarcus Cousins back from tearing his quad n a contract year ... after he aggravates his quad

Say what you want about how the Spurs poorly handled the communication with Kawhi and his injury, they still had Kawhi sit out a year with a Quad injury rather then risk him ruining his career. And when they did not see eye to eye - they traded him to a situation where he could thrive.

Still sitting her in disbelief ....
