Knicks Considering Major One-Year Offer To DeMarcus Cousins As Plan B

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jun 27, 2019 2:43 am

The New York Knicks are considering a significant one-year offer to DeMarcus Cousins if they are unable to sign Kevin Durant.

Cousins signed a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors last offseason.

Cousins worked his way back from his ruptured Achilles, but tore his quad in the first round.

I guess this is one way to sale your fans on a major free agent signing.......

That being said I hope DMC gets paid big time this summer.

Apparently, you weren't watching much west coast basketball this last season.

If the Knicks strike out on major FAs, one year deals (or two year deals with a team option) is probably the best way to go.

I think they’d be better off taking on salary dumps with assets if they miss out on big fish. See if they can build value into Smith/Mudiay/Knox/Hezonja.

LAC are probably looking to dump Gallinari. Boston might dump Hayward. Denver might dump Millsap to acquire another 30m player. Chandler Parsons.

Mudiay is awful, can’t shoot or pass. Knicks did not extend qualifying offer, they tried to trade him last year but no one wanted him. Seems like a good kid but was have a logjam at pg with dsj/frank and Allen (whom I like if he keeps his weight down)

Miss out on Lebron, sign Amare Stoudamire.

Miss out on KD, sign Demarcus Cousins.

Let's go, Knicks!

No chance they bring in this clown and surround him with rookies and sophomores. He'd set the T record in the first week.

Salary dumps only make sense if it's 1-year contracts.
