Klay Thompson, Warriors Still Expected To Agree To Five-Year, $190M Deal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jul 1, 2019 3:12 am

The Golden State Warriors were widely expected to reach agreement with Klay Thompson on a five-year, $190 million max contract.

The deal, however, hasn't been widely reported as being agreed upon.

Marc Stein of the New York Times reports that three sources indicate the deal remains done.

Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area reported that just because the deal isn't being publicized doesn't mean there is no deal.

"Nothing has changed," according to a source.

Wow. So Klay = Toby Harris?

huh? it's their max contract (neither of which deserves it, btw)

who the hell were the warriors bidding against here? i don't think any other team would have given him the four year max. maybe not even if he was healthy
the donald, always unpopular, did worse in EVERY state in 2020. and by a greater margin in red states! 50 independently-run elections, none of them rigged

What are you on about.. Klay is the best two guard in Basketball.. He is 100% a max player he was the second best player on a championship team.. He is one of the best shooters of all time. He is an elite defender.. Not a max player.. He is one of the few max players in the entire league and would also fit on any team..

no, no he's not. jimmy butler and oladipo are head and shoulders above klay. both can carry a team

and SG is the weakest position in basketball

He is 100% a max player he was the second best player on a championship team

if you think klay thompson has been more valuable than draymond green to the warriors i have to think that you have no concept of what winning basketball is all about

.. He is one of the best shooters of all time.

yep. so was steve kerr

He is an elite defender

not. even. close.

.. Not a max player..

he sure as HELL isn't a max player after suffering the injury he just did. and even if he was healthy, his defense is severely overrated. and he doesn't have elite scoring efficiency despite having the luxury of playing next to steph and durant

warriors basically just gave him 47.5 mil a year for 4 years. with boatloads of tax on top of that

the warriors will be shelling out more for klay thompson than any team ever has for any player. by a mile
